Revolution’s Norflex and PolyAg buys aim to turn farm plastics into a circular success story
10 Nov 2025

In a bid to close the loop on farm plastics, Revolution Sustainable Solutions, based in Little Rock, has taken a decisive step. Its 2024 acquisitions of Norflex and PolyAg unite two ends of the plastics chain, manufacturing and recycling, under one roof. The firm hopes the merger will make agricultural film production less wasteful and more profitable.
Norflex brings to the deal its Agriseal line of silage and agricultural films, known for strength and durability. By combining Norflex’s products with Revolution’s recycled materials and processing capacity, the company claims to offer what its chief executive, Scott Coleman, calls “a closed-loop solution for smarter agriculture.”
The agricultural-plastics market is growing fast as farmers seek efficiency and protection from volatile weather. Yet this expansion comes with a mounting pile of waste. Industry analysts see Revolution’s move as a sign that the era of single-use farm films is nearing its end. The merger hints at a shift from disposable materials toward products designed with recovery and reuse in mind.
That transformation will not be simple. Agricultural plastics are notoriously hard to collect and recycle: they are bulky, often dirty and widely dispersed. Cost, too, will determine success. Farmers, operating on thin margins, may hesitate unless recycled or circular options match conventional prices.
Revolution’s integrated network, linking collection, recycling and production, may nonetheless offer a template for the sector. It suggests that sustainability and profitability need not be at odds. If the model works, others could follow, creating a more circular plastics economy rooted not in waste but in reuse.
The message, at least, is clear: single-use is out; circularity is in.
